Pools are clear due to bleaching of Chlorine |
The name of Chlorine was given by Sir Humphry Davy in 1810 which he concluded Carl William Schlee had made a new element which after he named it Chlorine.
Chlorine itself is the second most common Halogen and also the 21st most common element, which is about 170 parts per million.
Chlorine is Halogen and therefore its colors are light purple. |
